Sport Courts & Multi-Sport Surfaces in Georgia

One Surface, Multiple Sports

Multi-sport courts are the highest-ROI backyard or HOA amenity build we do. A single 24'x52' surface can host pickleball, mini-tennis, basketball half-court, and four-square — with factory-inlaid lines for each (not painted; lines never fade). Sport-face nylon yarn handles all four sport types: cushions joints for racquet sports, holds infill for ball-bounce consistency, and survives sneakers and basketball rotation without matting.

Sports We Build Surfaces For

Pickleball (regulation 20'x44' play surface, 30'x60' total): see our dedicated pickleball page for full spec.

Basketball (half-court 30'x35', full-court 50'x84'): adjustable-height hoops, 4" reinforced base, sport-face turf or acrylic concrete. Half-courts are most common in residential builds.

Tennis (regulation 36'x78' play surface, 60'x120' total for full doubles court with run-off): sport-face turf, acrylic concrete, or clay. Most Georgia residential builds opt for sport-turf to combine with pickleball lines.

Bocce ball (regulation 13'x91', recreational 10'x60'): sand or sport-turf surface, perimeter board enclosure. See our bocce ball courts page.

Putting green / chipping (any size): tour-grade nylon, see our putting greens page.

Volleyball (sand or sport-turf): regulation 30'x60' for sand court, 30'x60' for hard court.

Multi-sport hybrid (24'x52' or 28'x56'): pickleball + mini-tennis + basketball half-court on one surface with three line sets.

Surface Engineering — What Makes It Sport-Grade

Sport-face yarn is built differently than landscape turf. The face yarn is a nylon or nylon/polyethylene blend (vs pure polyethylene on landscape), 38-46 oz/sq yd face weight (vs 60-90 oz/sq yd on landscape), 1.0-1.25 inch pile (vs 1.5-2.0 inch on landscape), and uses calibrated coated silica or acrylic infill rather than loose silica. This combination delivers ball-bounce consistency (critical for racquet and basketball play), reduced joint impact (critical for older athletes and frequent play), and better drainage through the surface.

Base Spec for Sport Courts

Sport-court base is heavier-duty than landscape turf base: 4-6 inches of engineered aggregate (ASTM F1551-aligned), laser-graded to exact slope (1% maximum for drainage, but no more — rolling courts don't play well), compacted to 95% Proctor density, with woven geo-textile separator over native soil. On Georgia red-clay sites we add a fines-blocking layer to prevent clay migration into the aggregate. Drainage exits to perimeter french drain or daylighted sheet flow.

Cost Ranges (2026 Georgia)

Single-sport residential (pickleball, tennis, basketball half-court, bocce): $22,000-$45,000 depending on size and surface. Multi-sport hybrid (24'x52' pickleball + tennis + basketball): $30,000-$48,000. HOA / commercial multi-court complexes: volume pricing on 2+ courts; typical $80,000-$400,000 range. Adding LED lighting: $4,500-$9,500 per court. Adding fencing: $4,000-$7,500. Acoustic windscreens for HOA noise compliance: $1,200-$3,500.

Lighting, Fencing, and Amenities

LED lighting (200-400 lux residential, 300-400 lux tournament): pole-mounted fixtures with timer control. Most residential builds include lighting; commercial installs almost always do. Fencing: 10-foot chain-link or vinyl-coated, with ball-collection corner pockets. Windscreens: acoustic (8-12 dB noise reduction) for HOA-sensitive areas, or visual-only for wind/glare. Spectator seating: built-in benches or pergola-shaded viewing areas for tournament-style courts.

Country Club & HOA Court Programs

We design and install multi-court complexes for country clubs, HOAs, schools, churches, and corporate campuses. Project value typically $80K-$500K depending on court count and amenity package. Standard commercial deliverables: site survey and CAD design, ADA-compliant access ramps and viewing areas, tournament-grade lighting with timer controls, acoustic windscreens, permanent post sleeves with removable net systems, maintenance training for facility staff. For RFP responses, see our Commercial Turf RFP Kit.
